Louisiana indie-rock band

Issy is a five-piece indie rock band from New Orleans, Louisiana, formed in 2023. Blending ukulele-driven songwriting, soaring electric guitars, soulful vocals, and dynamic rhythms, the band creates a distinctive sound that draws from indie rock, alternative, and soul influences. The band is fronted by singer-songwriter Isabel “Issy” Mathes on vocals and ukulele. Issy's original music was recorded at Marigny Studios in New Orleans, and is available to stream on all platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Issy has performed throughout various cities in Louisiana and Mississippi at notable venues such as Chelsea’s Live, The Varsity Theater, Gasa Gasa, and Carrollton Station, steadily building a dedicated following across the south. With a growing catalog of original music and an energetic live show, the band continues to establish themselves as an emerging force in Louisiana’s independent music scene.
